Packing your Orders

The 5 Necessary Steps for Packing your Orders

Packing your orders correctly is an important part of selling online and can make a significant difference to your customers shopping experience.

Follow these steps to ensure your order is delivered as a professional, clean package without any damage:

Step 1: Double check the item

  • Check the item you are packing matches the item displayed on the order and is in good condition.

Step 2: Bubble wrap the item

  • It is important to protect the contents of your package. Bubble wrap the item to prevent it from being damaged during transit.

Step 3: Include an invoice

  • Generate an invoice for the order and include it in your package. The order details are displayed on the Orders page.

Step 4: Select the correct packing material and flyer bag

  • Use new packing materials intended for packing items like yours.

  • Select the right fit for your item as you want to minimize the movement within the box/packaging to protect it from shock.

  • If you are packing your item into a box, it should be approximately 5cm bigger on all sides around the item. Seal the package tightly.

  • If you are packing your item in a flyer bag, please ensure that the bag is folded over the item snuggly, to prevent the item moving around inside the bag.

Step 5: Print and attach the waybill

  • Download and print 2 copies of the waybill associated with the order.

    • Attach 1 waybill to the outside of your package and ensure it is visible to the courier.

    • The second waybill will be for you to keep as proof of the collection.

  • Ask the agent collecting the package to sign the second waybill before leaving. This signed waybill will serve as proof that the order was collected from you, should this need to be proven as part of a dispute.

  • When printing the waybill, the default printing option may stretch the waybill to fit the page. If you would prefer to print a smaller version, adjust your printing settings as follows:
    • Adobe: Withing Page Sizing & Handling, select “Actual size”.
    • Chrome: Within Options, de-select “Fit to page”.
